Guess who found his shadow?
Watching Welles on the swings is always a heart warmer. He smiles so big after that first push and doesn’t stop smiling even as the swing slows to a stop. He just patiently waits for me to finish pushing sister, then smiles big and bright again when he gets that next big push.
The other day I became slightly concerned while noticing his head was staying in a downward tilted position. Downs kids can have a further separation between their spine and skull. This would make their necks more fragile. In other words, it can be harder for them to keep their necks up. After studying him for a second longer, I realized he was watching his little shadow. How fun it was to watch him discover that dark outline of himself on the ground. He was in a trance. I love seeing him engaged in his latest discoveries.
