A fresh start
A fresh start, a blank page. Welcome 2015! Every year I resolute some pretty lofty goals... Become a stay at home chef, get a six pack, be a super crafter, read 50 books, etc... Things a little out of my league. They all sound like great ideas, right? Needless to say, I typically end the year defeated in most of these areas. So I shrug it off and set myself up to fail all over again! It's a vicious cycle.
Here is my lofty goal for this year. I want to spread the word about Welles. I want to reach out to someone (hopefully many someones) who is scared out of their wits about having a special needs baby and help them start their new journey. Weather it be through talks and my short experience of council, or just by them reading my little blog and seeing a very happy, still-functioning family that is head over heels for their special boy. This year I hope to reach as many as I possibly can and spread the love. That's what Welles is - a little squishy, floppy and perfect human being that exudes love! We need more Welles' in the world. Not less. So here's to helping others conquer their fear of a different family than they expected. Because after all, that different is what makes our family special.
Welles and I wish you good luck with your fresh start!
