OUR STORY

This here video made by Jane.com is so very personal to our family. Every time they've sent me the latest edits, my heart re-opens the flood door and all of emotions rush back like a tidal wave. Jane's film crew did such an incredible job of telling our story from Welles' birth until this point in his life. All in just 3 minutes and 44 seconds! We are so honored to be a part of their #StrongLikeYou series. And I am so happy to have this video forever. I never want to forget those early days, even if they bring a touch of guilt for the heaviness that I felt. Take a watch and feel free to share as we hope to spread his message far and wide! When Oakley found out her newborn son, Welles, had Down syndrome, she was overwhelmed by the news. She struggled for the first month, unsure how to raise a child with Down syndrome. But as her son grew, Oakley's strength, positivity, and pure love for her son compelled her to become an advocate for him through her blog "Nothing Down About It."
