The baby cubby
About a month or two back, Scott was out of town and I was frantic to get the kids out of the house. It had been a long couple of days and we were all feeling pretty cooped up. As usual, the boys fell asleep just as we pulled into the park. Ugh! I decided to take longer drive and played “I spy” with Scarlett while we drove around aimlessly. After driving through and getting her a milkshake, I decided to head down to The Baby Cubby, a little boutique that had contacted us inviting me to come check them out. I’m a sucker for small businesses and cute kid products, so we turned our little trek into a trip to see what the hype was all about.
By the time we pulled in, Scarlett had sweetly handed her milkshake to a groggy Welles who was now wearing half of it, Ames had pooped out and Scar reminded me that she had forgotten to wear shoes. Oh well, we’d driven down so we were going inside! We walked through the doors… Scarlett shoeless, Ames in just a diaper and Welles covered in milkshake to see the most darling, pristine children and mommy merchandise. Thankfully they had a play area where my kids spent most of the time as I browsed. The folks running the joint were so kind and even though I said “don’t touch” about twenty times to my kids, they insisted that we were fine. Welles made his way back to the warehouse, when I turned my head for a cool second. As I was searching for him, the owner walked out wearing Welles on his hip! I was so impressed by this store, their employees, the beautiful products and all the small businesses they implemented into their store. I was especially grateful that they were so good to a frantic/exhausted mama and her very messy crew. I told them that I would share my favorite products from their store. Below are the finds that we walked away with! That framed sign (also a magnet board) is my favorite. It spoke to my soul and I had to have it.
Their clothing is darling. They carry some amazing brands, some I had heard of and some I was happy to be introduced to. The polka dot dress Scar is wearing is one of my favorite outfits to put on her. I got Welles’ cute little button up off their clearance rack for a steal.
They had this awesome brand of wooden toys. So many of them are great for development. I love this little pull alligator and used it as motivation with Welles’ walking.
This toy basket is going to be used as inspiration for the toy room in our new house. I love the bright and happy little fuzz balls! Scarlett totes her stuff around from room-to-room with it.
