4th of July 2015
Well my favorite holiday and come and gone. I seriously get just as excited about the 4th as I do for Christmas! The patriot in me just beams with pride when I watch the fly-over every year at a local event. It's a guarantee tear-up session every single time. I feel so blessed to part of such a brave nation that our founding fathers worked and sacrificed to form. Every year we sport red, white and blue all week. What can I say? It get's me in the spirit! Some other traditions include a picnic in the canyon, a parade, and stadium of fire (best local 4th celebration). I force my kids to stay up super late and by golly, enjoy fireworks! Welles actually hung in there until the wee hours this year, hardly fussing at all. What a kid. And Scarlett, my night owl, loved watching as "fairies" lit up the sky. I held my kids tight, tearing up a little and thanked the lord above for blessing us to live with the freedom and rights we enjoy every day. Hope your 4th was equally as magical.
